Ana Caicedo Macia
Filmmaker & Photographer

Welcome to My Playground
I’m Ana Caicedo Macia - documentarian filmmaker, creative producer, storyteller, and professional curious person.
I grew up between Bogotá, Colombia and the U.S., fueled by arepas, questions, and a deep love for capturing real, human stories. Today, I live in Wellington, Aotearoa, and my playground includes film sets, editing suites, coffee shops, community events, and any place where people are doing something with heart and art.
My work lives at the intersection of culture, environment, and emotion. Whether I’m filming business owners sharing their passions, documenting Wellington’s specialty coffee scene, or editing junkets for upcoming films, I’m always chasing that spark - the story beneath the surface.
I wear many hats: project coordinator, editor, hype woman, on-set documentarian and logistics queen. But at the core, I’m here to tell stories that matter. Stories that make you feel something. Stories that connect us.
Currently, I’m working on Specialty, a docuseries that tells the espresso story of coffee in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and offering content creation services to folks doing cool, meaningful things. If you're looking for someone who blends passion with practicality - and has a thing for making the behind-the-scenes beautiful - we might be a great match.
So have a look around. This is where the magic (and the mess) of creativity lives.
Let’s play.
